COVID-19 Procedures

We will start providing Curbside pickup and drop-off on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. In order to comply with the Wake County COVID-19 business exceptions which states:
Retail businesses may remain open if they are able to provide curbside pickup or delivery options. Those who are not able must close.(More information on the Wake County mandate can be found at https://covid19.wakegov.com/

  1. We will not be allowing the public to enter the showroom.
  2. We will be scheduling Pick up and Drop off of quilts with our customers between the hours of 11 and 3. Please understand that we may have some schedule interruptions, as our staff is dedicated to keep you safe and will not be coming to work if they are not feeling well.
  3. We are asking both our staff and our clients to maintain the CDC suggested, 6-foot minimum social distancing space.

Quilt Drop Off

If you are feeling unwell or if you think you might have been in contact with someone that has COVID-19, please wait to bring your quilt to us until you are sure that you are okay. You are more important that your quilt! If you are on our list, we will work you in as soon as we get the quilt, even if your “time” has already passed.

Because your project may be temporarily sat on the ground while being transferred to us, please put it in a plastic bag that we can wipe off. We want to wipe the bags down to ensure that no dirt gets on your project and to ensure the safety of our staff. We will also be giving you project a minimum of 24 hours to “air” out and will be working hard to make sure that projects are not touching each other.

Please call or email to get on our list. We will call you in the order that of the list. Once you are on the list, we will get back in touch with you so that we can fill out an intake form and discuss how you would like your project quilted. We can email you design choices or do video conferencing to let you look through the book of designs.

We will also schedule a drop off time during our call. When you get to our parking lot, please call 919-576-9897 so that we can arrange the safe transfer of your project.

Quilt and Online Order Pickup

Once your project is quilted, we will email you an invoice that can be paid online. At this time, all payments need to be done online so that our staff can maintain the CDC recommend social distance from you. The invoice will need to be paid for your quilt to be released to you.

We will schedule a time for you to pick up your quilt and will discuss the procedures we will use to transfer you quilt safely to you. Online orders with instore pick up will be handled the same way. Please call us when you are in the parking lot and we will safely transfer you package to you. We can do this by either placing your package by the front door and waving to you as you pick it up, or we can even put it in your trunk for you. Just tell us what you need us to do to keep you feeling safe!

Machine Test Drives and Sales Events

We will be doing virtual test drives to let you see the machines until we get the okay from the County to have customers in our space. We have a Virtual Road Show happening on May 2nd and there will be show specials on the machines at that time. Call us or email us and we can get you signed up for the Road Show! APQS is continuing to ship machines.

Classes and Events

Because of the size of the showroom, we are putting all classes and events on hold until Wake County allows us to have customers inside our stores.  We are considering doing a Zoom conference for our QP Play Day in May, if you are interested in us pursuing that option, please contact Angela so that she can work on that option.
