This quilt is for one of my guild's Quilts on Wheels charity. The top was designed and pieced by one of the guild members. I let the quilt top hang out on the design wall for a couple of days before I quilted it. Actually, I quilted the 3 other charity quilts I blogged about last week while I was getting to know this one.

In the large focus fabric corners I wanted to quilt something that looked kind of organic. I decide to do a fern that looks sort of grassy. Here is a close up of one of the corners.

I also played with different items in a line dancing type of quilting. I did variations of the same them is all of the half square triangles and even in the green borders.

I really like how the large beige half square triangles came out. I used black thread in the small black half square triangles, but used beige in the large black triangles around the center square to add texture.

I really like the back of the this quilt.

Tomorrow I am going to work on a quilt for me... I just need to decide which one. :)
Awesome work! I am impressed. Are you ready to start teaching classes?
